Join a European Tax Function with Real Impact and Ownership
Kubota is a global leader with more than 50,000 employees and operations in over 120 countries. Our mission: shaping solutions for food, water and the environment. In Europe, we are transforming our tax function into a modern, collaborative, and technology-oriented organisation supporting over 60 entities.
To expand our capabilities, we are hiring an International Tax Specialist (m/f/d) who can take responsibility early, work internationally, and help strengthen our in-house expertise across Europe.
The role can be based in Nieuw-Vennep (Amsterdam area) or Soest (Germany) and offers a hybrid working setup.
Your Role – International Tax First, Broad Development Possible
This position is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys project work, interpretation, structuring, and international coordination — without requiring prior specialization in narrow areas such as R&D incentives or reorganisations.
You will work closely with our VAT and TP specialists, our Japanese headquarters, and finance teams across Europe.
Your main responsibilities:
- Provide support in international tax matters, including cross-border structures, withholding tax, PE topics, and EU tax developments.
- Contribute to tax planning and structuring projects, including reorganisations and mergers (experience not mandatory).
- Assist in evaluating and implementing tax incentives such as R&D allowances (no prior experience required).
- Support tax audit coordination across multiple jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with Transfer Pricing colleagues to ensure aligned positions.
- Support the rollout of SAP S/4HANA with tax functionality (Tax Ledger, Tax Tagging, process integration).
- Leverage GenAI tools to research foreign tax issues, draft outlines, and challenge external advice efficiently.
- Identify opportunities to insource selected advisory topics and strengthen our internal knowledge base.
Why this role is attractive:
- A broad, non-siloed position where you can build and shape in-house capabilities.
- International exposure to Japan, the Nordics, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and many European entities.
- Use of modern tools, including GenAI, to simplify and elevate tax work.
- A cooperative, communicative leader who avoids micromanagement and values ownership.
- Hybrid working culture with ~10% travel.
- Development opportunities into Transfer Pricing, SAP Tax, or broader international advisory roles.
Ready to take the lead on international tax topics?
Submit your application and help us build a modern, agile European tax function.

- Ability to independently handle complex issues after a short onboarding.
- Strong communication skills and motivation to work in a multicultural team.
- Fluency in English; German, French or Dutch strongly preferred.
- Curiosity for Tax Tech, system design, and process efficiency.
- A pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset and confidence in dealing with stakeholders.
