At our BorgWarner location in Darmstadt we are currently looking for a

Hardware Safety Engineer (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate system-safety-requirements.
• Definition of HW safety requirements
• Implementation of a HW requirements process
• Establish tracebility between system-, HW-requirements and HW design
• Close cooperation, with system- and HW-engineers
• Coordination of the HW design specification documentation
• Performing HW safety analyses (e.g. FMEDA, DFA, ASIL decomposition…..)
• Supporting Design FMEA

Your profile

• Degree in engineering (electrical engineering / mechatronics / industrial engineering) or comparable studies
• Experience with requirements (preferably Polarion)
• Experience with functional safety (ISO26262)
• Experience with creating hardware safety analyses
• Knowledge of the hardware ASPICE process
• Experience in hardware-design
• Technical experience in HV battery systems is advantageous
• Good system understanding
• Structured way of working
• Good communication skills in German and English
